about

All songs originated during the years G.T. Thomas operated under the name “The Luckless Pedestrian.”

Recorded in Caledon, ON, Canada; Seattle, WA, USA; & Amsterdam, Nederland.

This album is dedicated to the memory of Chris Dedrick (1947–2010), who helps me become a better artist-human through thoughts provoked.

Extra special thanks to Berend Dubbe (X!), Moira Dedrick, Ken Maiuri & Paul Hamilton.

about

G.T. Thomas Amsterdam, The Netherlands

G.T. Thomas uses music to connect dots. She brings musical form to the patterns & metaphors she sees around us all. The resulting pop songs smack of something just a little bizarre...her bafflingly logical approach to the absurd? Her real-real love of fake-fake jazz? “The Luckless Pedestrian Years" is a suite of orchestrated breezy- listening music. More misc. G.T. Thomas songs at 1st link below! ... more

Track Name: Easiest Suitcase
Just pack your easiest suitcase
And take a voyage for the thrill of the ride.
You know what happens when you follow your heart?

Once upon a time was a lady.
Once upon a time she began writing
Scenes from out a window not her own.

Once upon a time there was waiting...
Once upon a time, something more hiding.
And she soon outgrew the life she’d known.

So pack your easiest suitcase
And take a voyage for the thrill of the ride.
You know what happens when you follow your heart?
You find that you’re flying inside.

Once you get the ball all a’rollin
Then you get your life on a bun, buttered.
Baby’s playing every card just right.

Once you’ve seen the scene all unfolding,
Once you’ve seen the glorious sun shuttered–
Lucky’s gone and shown herself the light.

So pack your easiest suitcase
And take a voyage for the thrill of the ride.
You know what happens when you follow your heart?
You find that you’re flying inside.

...
You know what happens when you follow your heart?
